Job Overview
As an Estimator/Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the entire project from start to finish, including estimating, planning, scheduling, and executing the project. You will be responsible for ensuring that the project is completed on time, within budget, and to the client's satisfaction. You will work closely with the clients, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to ensure that the project is delivered to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Utilize construction software such as Procore to manage and track project progress, budgets, and documents
- Prepare detailed project estimates based on project plans and specifications
- Develop project schedules and timelines
- Coordinate and manage all aspects of the project, including scheduling, budgeting, and quality control
- Manage all communication with clients, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders
- Ensure that all work is performed in accordance with project plans, specifications, and quality standards
- Monitor project progress and ensure that all milestones and deadlines are met
- Manage change orders and ensure that all project changes are properly documented and approved
- Manage project budgets and ensure that all project costs are properly documented, accounted for, and approved
- Approve invoices for projects and ensure that all project expenses are within budget
- Provide regular project status updates to clients and other stakeholders
- Ensure that all safety procedures and standards are followed on the project site
- Conduct regular site inspections to ensure that all work is being performed in accordance with project plans and specifications
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in project management and estimating in the construction industry
- Experience with commercial, industrial, and institutional construction projects
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
- Strong leadership skills and ability to work effectively with a team
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications
- Knowledge of construction codes and regulations
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and project management software
